Frequently Asked Questions

When can I sign up and when do practices start?

  • Registration is open enrollment, so you can register at any time.  Please ensure that you register for the payment plan that makes sense for your family.

Can I stay and watch practices?

  • Our primary goal is to create an environment where the wrestlers can focus fully on their training and development. When parents are present, it can sometimes create distractions or added pressure for the athletes. We’ve found that this helps them feel more comfortable trying new techniques, making mistakes, and asking questions without the fear of being judged.

Additionally, our coaching staff is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and supportive atmosphere. By limiting outside distractions, we believe we can enhance the overall experience and learning for each wrestler.

We truly appreciate your understanding and support of this policy. Rest assured, we will keep you updated on your child’s progress and any important information regarding practices and competitions.

Where can I register?

  • Class registration can be completed from the main page of our website.  For any existing team members with an account, registration can be completed via the SportsEngine Motion mobile application or via the SportsEngine Motion admin page after logging in via our website.

What is the age range of participants?

  • Our club welcomes youth aged from 5 to 14 years old.  We group wrestlers by age, weight, and skill level to ensure a positive experience for everyone.

What equipment is needed?

  • Basic practice equipment includes wrestling shoes and comfortable athletic wear (shorts and a t-shirt).  We also recommend bringing a water bottle to practices as we do not have a drinking fountain.  For competitions, we require families to purchase either a basic apparel package (singlet & tshirt) OR a competition apparel package (singlet, tshirt, shorts, and a hoodie).  Our wrestler apparel can be ordered and paid for via our website.

Can I purchase additional apparel for friends and family?

  • Yes!  We utilize two separate vendors for apparel.  Fan apparel is ordered through SquadLocker who will be responsible for all facets of the transaction (payment, fulfillment, returns/exchanges, shipping, etc.).

How long is the season?

  • Wrestling can be a year round sport but we completely understand that kids participate in other activities as well.  Families can sign up for classes that best fit their schedules.

Do we have to participate in tournaments?

  • Families are not obligated to participate in wrestling tournaments.  Our focus is on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.  While we do compete, we emphasize personal growth and enjoyment of the sport over winning.

Can parents get involved?

  • Absolutely!  Feel free to send an email or reach out to one of the coaches at a practice.  We can use all skillsets throughout the season!  As things come up throughout the season, we will also reach out to our families for assitance as well.

Is there payment assistance or scholarships available for the upcoming season?

  • We have a limited number of scholarships that we offer based on financial need for the upcoming season.  Please reach out to [email protected] to start the process.

What is going on with the construction?

  • IMPACT wrestling is making a long term commitment to our wrestlers, families, and communities by expanding and improving our facilities.  Although we are a brand new club, we have seen interest from families that have required us to expand our space already in our first year.  Look for changes to the overall facility, restrooms, and aesthetics over the next couple of months!  Please be patient with all of the changes and dust - we appreciate it.

What if I have issues with payment or enrollment?
